people of hope when we encounter despair,
and people of love in the face of indifference.
Jubilee is about freedom, forgiveness and feasting.
Jubilee celebrates reconciliation, restoration, and right
relationships.
Session Themes
Be Free from Slavery
Jesus is Jubilee in the flesh. Jesus says to us, "Be free from
whatever enslaves you. Be free from your destructive lack of faith in yourself.
My Jubilee gift to you is freedom and forgiveness."
Declare a Sabbath
The Sabbath rest is the lost art of the late twentieth century.
Jubilee begins with a not-doing; It begins in stillness.
Make Relationships Right
Jubilee invites all people of the Great South Land of Australia to work at
making relationships right between families, communities and races.
Forgive your Debts
Forgiveness is at the heart of Jubilee. Jesus' Jubilee agenda
invites us to "forgive trespasses, forgive family members, forgive yourself, forgive
whatever you can."
Prepare a Feast
We can start from two basic attitudes to life - a stance of scarcity or a stance of
plenty. Jubilee unashamedly says that there is enough for all. Feasting is at
the heart of both Jubilee and the Christian tradition.
