MINUTES OF THE MEETING OF THE BROKEN BAY DIOCESAN JUBILEE COMMITTEE HELD AT WAITARA ON WEDNESDAY, 4TH FEBRUARY, 1998 PRESENT: Larry Czarnik, Bev. Howie, Fr. Michael Gormly, Fr. Bill Stevens, David and Maria Szeto, Noreen McGarry, Dennis Porteous, Mary McGuinness, Jeanette Neary, John Dornan APOLOGIES: Monica Cotter, Geoff Duggan, Don and Marlene Malone MINUTES: The minutes were read and received. MATTERS ARISING: It was noted that John Dornan's name was missing from those present at the last meeting. The address of the Jubilee Web site is www.jubilee.brokenbay.catholic.org.au CORRESPONDENCE: Queensland Adult Education have been sent a promotional copy of their Jubilee program God's Love Poured Out to Bev. This is being offered in the Terry Hills parish during Lent. Melbourne programs have not yet been received. Fr. Stevens received a copy of Proclaim Jubilee tape by Basil Morrow from Canberra. Cost of the song and accompaniment is $6.95, sheet music $5.95. It was suggested that the words be put on the internet site. Fr. Stevens to ring Canberra re: copyright. GENERAL BUSINESS: Jeanette Neary from Wahroonga parish was welcomed into the group. Fr. Michael Gormly contributed a copy of material received from the Story Source. It was suggested the next article for the Diocesan Newsletter be on Ecumenism. Noreen and Fr. Michael to write it and send it to Bev by Friday, 27th February. Fr. Stevens put forward a suggestion that parishes be encouraged to make a banner around a Jubilee theme. Photos of completed banners to be placed in the Diocesan Newsletter as well as on the internet web site. It was decided that, rather than run a competition, the idea be promoted in the Newsletter. Fr. Stevens will do this. Larry Czarnik requested material from the Bishop's Synod to be added to the material already on the web site.
